Appropriate technology helps
food production

Picture
Farmers throughout Nicaragua, especially those who live in the driest areas of the country, struggle with producing food year round due to Nicaragua's dry season, where it may not rain for up to five months. CEPAD is helping farmers to overcome this challenge by teaching them to put in irrigation systems in their farms, allowing them to produce food for their families 12 months of the year.
