In 2008 CEPAD celebrates 36 years of ministry, and Radio CEPAD turns 16! We thank God for allowing us to continue accompanying the Nicaraguan people through diverse ministries.

- Nelson Garcia, CEPAD Nueva Guinea office security guard, who was diagnosed with cancer on July 31st.
- The Sanchez Aleman family on the passing of Mrs. Francisca Amanda Alemán Salazar on July 28th. Mrs. Aleman Sanchez was the grandmother of Luis Sánchez, CEPAD disc jockey.
- The Molina Perez family on the death of Mrs. Maria Isabel Perez Aguirre on July 19th. Mrs. Perez Aguirre was the mother-in-law of Wilmar Chavez, Assistant to the Executive Director of CEPAD.
- The family of Gonzalo Saavedra, who died on July 17th from an asthma attack. Mr Saavedra, who lived in Bluefields, was the older brother of Orlando Saavedra, auxiliary accountant in CEPAD's Central Offices in Managua.
- The family of Adrian Hurtado Fonseca, who passed away on July 9th. Mr. Hurtado was the father of Aurita Hurtado, receptionist of CEPAD's Central Office.
- The family of Juan Carlos Palma, whose grandmother passed away recently. Juan Carlos Palma is the CEPAD Zonal Delegate for the CEPAD Regional Offices in Jinotega and Matagalpa.
- Damaris Albuquerque, CEPAD's Executive Director. Mrs. Albuquerque underwent surgery on July 4th and is recovering at home. Mrs. Albuquerque is working half-time and is expected to start back to work full-time during the first week of August.
- The Gonzalez, Arana and Zuniga families. Alicia del Carmen Zuniga Arana passed away on June 19th following years of illness from kidney failure. Mrs. Zuniga Arana was the mother of Sandra Gonzalez, CEPAD Carazo Administrative Assistant.
- The family of Jerry Gleich. Mr. Gleich passed away unexpectedly on June 5th. He was the father of Holly Gleich, who arrived in Nicaragua on May 24th to spend eight weeks as a CEPAD volunteer in the village of Siares, Matagalpa.
- Walter Vasquez, brother of Luis Vasquez. Walter was hospitalized after being run over by a vehicle on June 5th. He is now stable but still recovering.
- Rosa Elena Gutierrez, wife of Bernardo Gamboa, driver of the CEPAD Nehemiah Program. Rosa Elena is ill.
- Francisca Luna, mother of Juan Carlos Palma Luna. Mrs. Luna is recovering from three heart attacks suffered at the end of May. Juan Carlos is the CEPAD Regional Delegate for Jinotega and Matagalpa.
- Hector Javier Mendoza Ruiz, son of Avilia Ruiz, leader of the Rio San Juan Pastoral Committe. Hector was in a motorcycle accident on March 14th and is in the Military Hospital of Managua. Pray for Hector and his family.
- Carmen Ocampo, widow of Ramón Maltéz who was a member of CEPAD's Board of Directors. Ms. Ocampo is sick.
- Isabel Perez Aguirre, mother-in-law of Wilmar Chavez, office assistant to the Executive Director of CEPAD. Ms. Perez Aguirre has serious gallbladder and heart problems.
- Leonel Nicaragua, who has kidney failure. Mr Nicaragua is the husband of Ligia Sandoval, CEPAD Administrative and Financial Director.
